Katelyn is an art historian by training, specializing in late medieval and early modern painting in northern Europe. In addition to seeing art and learning about history, she likes to read fiction and is fascinated by the character of cities (especially her home, NYC). She started this website in 2026 as a means of honing her voice as a writer and warding off existential malaise (how embarrassing). The older she gets, the more she realizes she doesn’t know—thus the title of this project, The Abecedarian.
